Cluster or Individual? Choose by Your Calendar, Not the Price

Cluster or Individual? Choose by Your Calendar, Not the Price

You are at Geko on a Friday night. Someone across the table turns, and before they say a word there is a pause. Half a second, the lash catching the low light. That pause is the whole conversation. The question you ask before you book is not "how much?" It is "how many nights like this one do I have coming up?"

Clusters: one night, full attention

Cluster lashes are small fans of three to five lashes bonded onto your natural lash line in groups. Mumbi has you done in 45 minutes. They last two days to a week. Long enough to carry you through a birthday dinner at Cultiva, a Saturday at Nova, or a Sunday wedding in Karen. When the week is over, they come off cleanly and your natural lashes are exactly where you left them.

Cluster lashes are KSh 2,000. Book 24 hours before the event. You show up with clean, dry lashes and leave with a set that earns the pause.

Choose clusters when one specific night is the whole brief. Not a season. A night.

Individuals: the look that moves with you

Individual lash extensions are applied one extension to one natural lash with semi-permanent adhesive, lash by lash, in 90 minutes. A full set lasts two to three weeks and takes refills. You wake up and the lash is already there. At About Thyme for a Wednesday lunch, at Sankara for an afternoon event, at Cultiva the following Saturday, at a garden wedding the weekend after that. Every single morning you walk in already done.

Individual lashes are KSh 3,500. If you already book soft glam regularly, individuals layer in cleanly: the face is set, the lash is set, and the room reorganises itself before you sit down.

Choose individuals when you are staring at a calendar with three or four named dates in the next two weeks and you want to spend none of them worrying about your face.

One question closes it

Look at the next four weeks. One event? Clusters. A streak, Sankara networking drinks, a Friday at Mass House, a Strathmore graduation the Saturday after? Individuals.

Eye sensitivity matters too. If you wear contacts or your eyes water easily, say so when you book. Mumbi can do a patch test on first visits. No obligation, no drama.

How most clients find their lane

A first-timer books clusters for a Geko Friday. She loves the pause across the table. Two weeks later she comes back for a full individual set because she has a Tamambo wedding and wants the look from the rehearsal dinner through to the Sunday brunch. From there, most clients move into a refill cycle every two and a half to three weeks. The lash stays. The morning gets shorter. The walk from the car to the door stays exactly as long as it should.
